International EyeCare Laser Center Presents Lasik Forum in Houston ...

"There are three reasons why people won't have lasik done: fear, fear and fear," says Dr. Moore. "We are trying to remove that element through better understanding of the procedure."

Following a short video, the doctors will take questions from the guests. They will then take the audience on a tour of the facilities including the lasik suite, where surgery is performed. The guests will also have the opportunity to meet the rest of the staff and gain more information on the overall procedure.

A pioneer of lasik (laser in-situ keratomileusis) in the United States, International EyeCare Laser Center is the only private practice in Houston exclusively dedicated to laser vision correction. Dr. Moore is a frequent speaker and published author on the topic of lasik and has performed thousands of refractive procedures since 1979.

Directors hope to revisit past Sundance Film Festival glory

THE MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH. Michael Chabon's bestselling debut novel finally comes to the screen, adapted by Rawson Marshall Thurber ("Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story"). Jon Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Sienna Miller, Nick Nolte and Mena Suvari lead the cast.

THE WACKNESS. Jonathan Levine's romantic comedy, set in and around the private-school society of 1994 New York City, features Josh Peck as a wayward, pot-dealing teenager and Ben Kingsley as a psychiatrist who accepts joints in lieu of credit cards.

PHOEBE IN WONDERLAND. An academic mom and her off-center child form the pivotal dynamic of Daniel Barnz's probing drama. The singular cast includes Felicity Huffman, Ella Fanning, Campbell Scott and Sundance perennial, Patricia Clarkson.

SLEEP DEALER.

Sundance: Is it selling out?

Nor does this corporate convergence end when the sun goes down.

All-night bashes -- such as those at Harry O's, which became MySpace Nights at Tao Park City for the past two nights here -- boast such deep-pocketed bed-fellows as T-Mobile, Nylon magazine, Hugo Boss and Kritik Clothing.

More privately, producers also throw post-premiere dinner parties for cast members and financiers. Tonight, for instance, Hilton is expected to be on hand for the Bon Appetit Supper Club on Main.

This is only the second year the magazine -- which partners with event managers Livestyle Entertainment -- has been at Sundance. Initially, Bon Appetit's vice-president and publisher Paul Jowdy wondered if the so-called "Swag-dance" had gotten out of control and whether hosting the ultra-exclusive function was even a good idea.

Dr Kanwaljit Singh Sidhu, president, Fish Farmers Association, Punjab, said more than 3,000 farmers had opted for fish farming in the past few years. They were also getting good returns (as compared to wheat and paddy). He said if the state government started a processing plant to debone the fish, huge amount of fish could be exported to countries like Thailand, Finland and Malaysia.

We are satisfied for the time being but if we start producing more fish, we will have a problem of marketing. In Punjab, bonefish is consumed by migrant population only. Others prefer to have boneless fish. We are producing varieties like Katla, Rohu, Morak, Common Carp, Grass Carp and Silver Carp, which have bones. We cannot produce boneless fish because of different climates here, said Dr Sidhu.

He further informed that state had 12,650 villages and each village had 2-3 ponds, which could be renovated and made available for fish farming.

Dallas, I love you, but I've found Austin

The tragedy will be a unique part of town will be bulldozed and there won't even be money as compensation. Just poorly built structures that will be ratty in ten years. Not that anyone asked, but my grand plan would reduce the ceiling on buildings back down to five stories and keep a the core of Deep Ellum with its warehouse look and feel, while developing around in a horseshoe configuration (with the lucky side butting up against I-75). This scenario, I believe, will add a point of difference for developers as well as secure their vantage points. If everyone builds to the 15 story limit, they will devalue each other's property. Of course this is a complicated issue with lots of moving parts. But I am hopeful that there are enough good minds just in our neighborhood that can work together make Deep Ellum be successful commercially, musically, artistically and still keep it's bohemian underbelly.

IDs released on two ice-related deaths; Knox on 2-hour delay

Shockingly, they were wrong. After spending 90 minutes driving from the airport to Topside on Alcoa Hwy, I decided to get off at Topside and come up Pellissippi. Never did find out where the problem was.

Once again, road crews are doing a great job keeping the roads clear.
